You agree to the privacy policy below, and the Privacy Policy for Substack, the technology provider.

Karma Bytes Privacy Policy
Last updated: Today, 11/16/2025, because apparently I am responsible now.

  1. Information you give me
When you subscribe, you give me your email address. That is the main thing. If you type your name in, I see that too. If you leave a comment, I see whatever you wrote… obviously. That is the extent of it.

  2. Information Substack sees
Substack and Stripe may see more than I do because they handle the techy parts. They collect analytics like what country you are in, what device you read on, and how you interact with posts. I do not control their systems, but I can promise I am not out here snooping in your business. I only see the basics Substack shows to creators.

  3. What I do with your info
I use your email to send you my posts, replies, and updates. I do not sell your info. I do not hand it out. I do not trade it for snacks. Your info stays between us and the robots that run Substack.

  4. Payment information
I never see your billing details. I do not want them. Your payments go through Stripe and live entirely on their secure side of the universe. If your card gets lost or stolen, you do not need to tell me. You need to tell your bank.

  5. Comments and community spaces
If you leave comments, they are public to other readers. Say only what you are comfortable with the world seeing. If you post something awful, hateful, or chaotic beyond my personal tolerance… I can delete it.

  6. Cookies and tech magic
Substack uses cookies and tracking to keep the site working. I do not personally bake the cookies or set the trackers. If you want to know exactly what they use, check Substack’s policies. I just live here.

  7. Third party services
If I occasionally link to other sites or embed things, remember that those sites have their own rules and privacy stuff. I cannot control their behavior. Please protect your own data anywhere else you wander.

  8. Children
Karma Bytes is for adults. If you are under 18, this is not the place for you. Please hand the phone back to your grown up.

  9. Data security
I do not store your info on my own devices. Everything stays in Substack’s system. They handle security. If they ever get hacked, that fight is between you, them, and whatever cybersecurity team they hire. I will support emotionally but I cannot patch servers.

  10. Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time. You can update your email. You can decide you never want to hear from me again. That is your right as a free human with free will.

  11. Changes to this policy
If I ever update this Privacy Policy, I will change the date at the top. You are welcome to reread it whenever you want, especially if you enjoy watching me pretend to be an organized adult.

  12. How to contact me
If you have privacy questions, message me through Substack. I cannot promise instant replies, but I will not ignore you on purpose. My cat disagrees with that statement, but she also believes I exist solely to activate hands-for-petting on command.
